Crossroads Romania is July 19th-29th, 2018. We will be conducting our summer basketball clinics with the community children and youth in Calarasi. Our partners for this 3rd consecutive event is Brother Iulian Vasile, pastor of Alege Sa Traieste. Please pray for us as we minister along side the Evangelical church in Calarasi. I (Phil) will be preaching during Sunday Services and teaching lessons from Genesis and Romans after the basketball clinics. Our team of three consists of Josh Holder and my oldest daughter Abigail. Josh traveled with us in 2016, Abigail is making her first trip to eastern Romania. It has been a blessing for me to travel with my children: Lydia went in 2016, Silas went in 2017, and now Abigail! Please pray for the Lord's travel mercies, our focus to be on the Lord, pray for Iulian and Lidia (Iulian's wife) who will be hosted us, our dear Romanian friends, and our trip finances. May the Lord richly bless you-Phil
Spring 2017 is here and I believe the warm weather is here to stay…I think. With spring comes beautiful days and the torrential activity. We have seen our share of tornadoes and hail over the current weeks and past few years — and will likely see more in the future. In this way, life is a lot like the weather.
My former pastor Wayne Barber (who is present with the Lord today) spoke of our lives in Christ as having similar to weather patterns. Brother Wayne would say, “Your life is in one of three modes: You are in the middle of life’s storm, you are coming out of life’s storm, or you are preparing to go into life’s storm.”
You can surmise from this statement that there is no “vacation” from life. We need to always be on the alert and sober for all things. But know this: The believer in Christ has the assurance that he or she is not alone, for He abides (taken up residence) in us.
As we celebrate this Resurrection Sunday, remember our hope in the midst of all conflicts and trials is in Christ Jesus. “He is risen, He has risen indeed!”
